PORTLAND  |  Taya Koschnick is the founder of Tasi, a jewelry line that was influenced by her upbringing with her mother, a metalsmith, and her stepfather, a bead and textile trader. Her work is centered around beads, gemstones, and ancient artifacts -- she uses materials that have a rich history and gives them a second life. Many of her pieces feature rare, antique, or one of a kind materials like thousand year old pieces of quartz and ancient walrus tusk. Her pieces reflect her fascination with materials, formulated with intention, care and attention to detail.
